The Q Hotel + Spa offers an off-the-beaten path experience in the heart of the city
Billed as Kansas City’s first green hotel, the hotel was formerly the Quarterage Hotel. In 2007, it underwent a complete renovation, reopening as a premier eco-friendly lodging destination. The hotel’s “38 point 'Green' plan”--considered by some to be one of the most meticulous, eco-friendly policies in the hospitality industry--encompasses energy efficient electrical and water devices, in-room recycling and Green Seal approved cleaning products, for starters.

Sleep with good conscience at Kansas City's first green hotel
From Go Magazine
What was once the historic Quarterage Hotel has undergone a serious renovation to become Kansas City’s first green hotel. In this case, that means more than just asking patrons to use bed linens and towels more than once. Everything from the bathroom amenities (eco-friendly Aveda) to a hybrid-vehicle guest shuttle has been designed to benefit the Earth.
